Hello. I've been using the M-audio Firewire 410 succesfully for over a year. Tonight, it decided to randomly stop giving me any sounds on my pc. I think I then did something stupid. I unplugged the firewire cable from it to see if that would sort it. It was only later did I find out you weren't ever supposed to hot-plug this device. I've tried everything to get it working again but to no avail. I just keep getting the flashing bluelight now... My question is, have I damaged the M-audio firewire 410 unit itself, the firewire cable, the firewire card or all 3? the reason I ask this is cause' then i'll know what to replace... hope i havn't broken the firewire 410 itself :( anyway, really upset about this because it's the only way I play my guitar 'amplified' through VSTS etc. :( will appreciate any input!
