I recently purchased a Profire 2626 to use in conjunction with another Profire 2626. When connected together, the slave Profire will input audio to channels even though I am using a mono source. To make that more clear. If I connect a microphone to channel one of the slave (which should be channel 9 of the master profire) the audio will transfer onto channel 9 and 10. This will only occur after the a/d conversion. The gain led's do not go off for both channels (1 & 2) only 1. However, within the DSP and Pro Tools the signal will be routed to both 9 & 10. I have tried the slave unit separately and the problem will not occur if it is the master. I believe something is going on with my DSP settings. I hope I have made sense.
