Hi all,
I recently bought the profire 610 to make simple audio recordings of my youth choir.
Unfortunately I can't get it to work for recording.
I installed the most recent drivers and my MacBook Pro recognises the profire.
It is installed with a firewire 400 to 800 adaptor (http://store.apple.com/us/product/HA...to-6-pin-cable)
The problem starts when I want to record.
First of all, Im a beginner at the, previously I recorded through the mic connection of the laptop, but in my new MacBook Pro there is none.
For starts Im trying to record with audacity or garageband.
later I would like to buy Logic Pro.
My set up is: sound source (JBC pmd 12) ==> Line input 3 and 4 at the rear panel. MacBook Pro connected with firewire.
I here stereo sound through my headset which is connected to the front panel.
When I start recording at Audacity or Garageband, I get a flat line, no sound. (sound input in both programs is set to profire.
Can anyone help me. Is there a special setting needed in the M-Audio Profire control panel?
I see Analog inputs 3&4 lighting up when I send sound.
Thanks for the help.
