Hi there,
I'm having problems trying to get digital output from my ProFire 610 to my AV receiver. I have used the ProFire for all other inputs/outputs except the S/PDIF ones, and everything else is working properly.
I have a rMBP connected to a ProFire 610 via a Thunderbolt adapter (was originally purchased for old machine with FW port, but this works fine). I had been taking the analogue outputs into my amp/receiver, but I wanted to try and connect it via S/PDIF. My receiver is an old Yamaha RX-V357 which has one coax S/PDIF in. However, I don't get any sound at all.
I've tried loads of different sync settings in the ProFire control panel, but nothing seems to work. I checked the amp and cable by connecting the same cable to a DVD player with a S/PDIF out and playing a CD. The audio came through fine, so it's not the receiver or the cable. Also, I tried playing the CD into the ProFire, and I heard it come through the headphones, so the S/PDIF in port works fine.
Any help gratefully received! Thanks!
