Profire 2626 and GNU/Linux

As a lot of readers here will surely agree with me, it is a shame that M-Audio hasn't already put some of the magic-foo on Linux drivers for Profire 2626. Unfortunately, no support is given to whoever decides to use a far superior alternative to windows/mac.
